Donato was an installer in the union, a distributor and importer for 17 years, a sales manager for a manufacturer of installation products for 7 years. He is the past CTDA Education committee chairman. Donato is a past chairman of the Ceramic Tile Institute of America (CTIOA) Technical Committee. He is a member and participant of the ANSI, ASTM, ISO, MIA, MMSA, NTCA, and TCNA technical committees who develop the installation standards for the ceramic tile and stone industry.
