Mauro Rullo is Sustainability and Climate Policy Manager at Confindustria Ceramica, the Italian association of the ceramic industry. He holds an MSc in Chemistry from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and gained international research experience in Australia, Italy, and Switzerland, working on topics spanning life sciences and green hydrogen production.
Driven by a long-standing commitment to environmental issues, Mauro addresses sustainability challenges with a 360-degree approach, integrating policy, regulatory, and business perspectives. His core expertise focuses on CO₂-related topics, from Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS).
He also serves as Convenor of CEN/TC 67/WG 5, responsible for Product Category Rules for ceramic tiles and tiling systems, and as Group Leader of ISO/TC 189/WG 7, leading work on sustainability standards for ceramic tiles and tiling systems.
